Recipe | Banana and peanut butter on pumpernickel

Not really a recipe, more a combination of a few ingredients but hey, it's a damn good combination and I liked the photograph. Pic's Peanut Butter is the best peanut butter I have ever eaten, I struggle not to eat it by the spoonful. It's made in New Zealand and contains nothing but Australian peanuts. Yum. I have also recently discovered pumpernickel - it's sour flavour goes so well with many toppings including avocado or a poached egg or both.. This banana on toast is a splendid snack or breakfast and is a great energy hit with it being full of protein. 

Banana and peanut butter on toast
Piece of pumpernickel bread, toasted
Spread of peanut butter to your liking
Half a ripe banana, sliced
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Spread peanut butter on pumpkernickel. Arrange banana slices as desired. Sprinkle with sea salt and cinnamon.
